Biography

Michael J. Petro serves as Chief Financial Officer of Martin Marietta with responsibility for the accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, investor relations, treasury, and internal audit functions. Additionally, he oversees the strategy, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and procurement functions.

Since joining the company in 2015, Mr. Petro has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development. Prior to that, he held roles as both Director and Vice President of Strategy and Development.

Before joining Martin Marietta, Mr. Petro was an investment banker at Wells Fargo Securities and began his career as a consultant at PwC.

Mr. Petro holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Louisiana State University, an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and is a certified public accountant (inactive).
